Greetings!
The fine folks over at Embellish Magazine have a card challenge which not only incorporates the colors green, craft and black, but also uses BUTTERFLIES! Who doesn't love butterflies? Maybe dragonfly fans? Who knows??!!
Anyway...here I am posting this card using the above requirements. My attempt was to keep all the elements fresh, clean and simple. Not a lot of layering here people.
The paper is from my Thrift Store October Afternoon Collection. LOVING IT!!!
I also used some extras like buttons, pins and pearls. Enjoy!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 70
Greetings!
It has been a wee bit since I posted last. The end of the school year is quickly approaching and that means I'm very BUSY!
Moving along...
Today' post is a challenge featured at Sweet Sunday Sketch. The challenge is to use the posted sketch which has three small square and a flourish. My card uses the sketches basics and rather than a flourish; I've incorporated a banner.
Unity's May KOM has some super cute images (as it always does). The banner was stamped on DP from October Afternoon. Just love the colors and designs! The paper line is called The Thrift Store. (I love to shop at stores like that! I always feel like I am getting a whole ton for NOTHING!) Enjoy!
Supplies:
DP: October Afternoon (The Thrift Store)
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co. (May KOM)
Stickers: October Afternoon
Corner Rounder: We R Memory Keepers
Ink: Momento, Old Paper Distress Ink
Pen: Zig

2 Sketches 4 You-Kazan's Sketch 52
Greetings!
With all the gloomy weather we've been having here in Minnesota, I have to keep reminding myself that tomorrow is a new day. I thought the sentiment in the Unity April KOM was fitting.
My card today utilizes the sketch over a 2Sketches4You. It seems as though I can't get enough of scallops lately. I use them on virtually every card, so this sketch was one where I could use what was in reach at my crafting desk.
Hoping the sun returns soon! Enjoy.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Unity April KOM
Paper: CS Papertrey Ink - Cream and Graphic 45 Times Nouveau Collection (Hot Tomato)
Punch and Dies: Fiskars (scallop) Nestabilites (small oval, oval scallop), Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots Folder)
Copic Markers: G20, G82, G99, W2, R27, Colorless Blender
Ink: Momento (Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink (Bundled Sage)
Corner Rounder: Corner Chomper

My Favorite Things-Pure Innocence (Make Mine A Double Stamp Set)
Greetings!
Hope you are enjoying your Mother's Day! I know I am taking the day to relax and unwind a little.
I have a sweet little card for you today from MFT-Pure Innocence Collection.
If you know me, you know I love ice cream. So when I saw this set, I immediately thought about how I needed it and how I would use it. ( I even added marker dots for mint chocolate chip ice cream-my favorite. It is also the favorite of my good friend who will be receiving this card.)
I kept the design simple and had the chance to utilize some of my new papers from Graphic 45. I just love the shabby vintage look of this paper line. This line is called Times Nouveau. The paper is titled Bee's Knees.
Hope you enjoy!
Supplies:
DP: Graphic 45
Stamps: My Favorite Things ( Make Mine A Double-Pure Innocence)
Punch: Fiskars
Dies: Nestabilites (small square)

Last Friday, Splitcoast Stampers had a fun tutorial posted using battery operated tealights. I guess I would had never thought of making a tealight into a cake. What FUN!
My BodyPump instructor has a birthday coming up next week, so I created a card and calorie-free cake for her.

If you are interested in creating your own tealight cake click here. Enjoy!

Embellish Magazine Color Challenge with Embossing
Greetings! There is a fun color and embossing challenge over at Embellish Magazine. The challenge is to incorporate the colors pink, green, blue and yellow into a card along with dry/heat embossing. FUN!
For my card, I used my new 6X6 paper pack from Cosmo Cricket (Joy Ride) collection. I love the fun and energetic papers in this line. I thought it would be funny to incorporate my December KOM from Unity Stamps. After all, snails are not the quickest of animals. The sentiment that goes along with this image is the best. I'm not slow, I'm just trying to savor the journey. (hee hee).
Embossing is one of my favorite techniques (dry or heat embossing). But for this card, I tried something totally different, which may be hard to tell from the picture. In order to create an embossed paper (circle paper), I used Stampendous' Boss Gloss and covered the circles with clear embossing powder. Embossed paper at a fraction of the price!
Hope you enjoy!
Supplies:
DP: Cosmo Cricket (Joy Ride)
Copic Markers
Pen: Inkessential
Boss Gloss: Stampendour
Embossing Powder: Stampendous
Glitter Pen: Sakura
Gems: Mark Richards
Ink: Momento, Distress (Pumice Stone)
Circle Cutter: Colluzzle
Dies: Nestabilities (Small Oval)
Punch: Fiskars (scallop)

2 Sketches 4 You-Laura's Sketch 51
Greetings!
This week's sketch at 2Sketches4You is a fun one. I have to admit that I really had trouble keeping to the sketch. This has to be one of the simplest cards I've made in awhile.
This card features some new goodies from Cosmo Cricket and Unity Stamps. The Garden Variety stamps and papers are so great! I can see myself using both the papers and stamps on many of my garden scrapbooking pages.
Enjoy!
Supplies:
Papers: Cosmo Cricket (Garden Variety)
Stamps: Unity/Cosmo Cricket (Garden Variety)
Punch: Fiskars
Dies: Small Circles (Nestabilities)
Ink: Momento and Distress Ink
Copic Markers
Other: Stitching, String and Button
