Sympathy Cards

Greetings! Where am I? Where did I go? I well...got sucked into the Facebook community. Yeah, I am there now. Despite my doubts and worries. My dear old husband is and always will be an enabler.
My post today features some sympathy cards I threw together this week. I really haven't been craftin' lately. It probably has something to do with working too much last weekend at the store or something.
This card features some of the new Basic Grey Porcelain line. I used a Hero Arts stamp from a couple of years back..it's wood mounted (can't believe it). The ink I used on the image is Shadow Ink from Hero. I also used my Martha Stewart punch (yes the one that makes my hand swell..)OUCH! Do you like the potty pics? Here is a fun web site to check out...if you like to cook. Enjoy!

Gift Idea for Teacher

Greetings! Today I'm posting the little note cards I made for Paige's teacher. I used some of my Stampendous stamps featuring Max the Mouse. The tiny cards and envelopes are sold at Archiver's in our stationary section 10 sets for 1.99. I used all sorts of scraps to create the cards. Some of the paper brands include: Cosmo Cricket, Scenic Route and We R Memory Keepers. I colored each little image with my Copic markers and just added a little adhesive- pop dots. I kept these simple to make this a quick and easy project. I finished this gift up with a cute red box and some swiss dot colored hearts...for LOVE. There are ten notes total. Enjoy!

My Scrap Space

Greetings! I have had a couple of requests from my readers to see my scrap space. OK I took a couple of pictures no spectacular video blog or anything like that.
Check my space out. My space is located in our attic. It is a nice area where I keep not only my scrap/stamp stuff, but also my teaching supplies; which believe it or not, outnumber my crafting supplies by far! Some of my supplies are missing from the photos (Cuttlebug and rolling tote). It is a great space and I use the large ledge along the staircase to spread out pages. You can see that I use a lot of drawers and extras. Most of my paper scraps are stored in these as well as my favorite 6x6 paper packs from Basic Grey. I also have an extra table set up so I can sew on my pages with my machine. I took a picture of my "inspiration" stuff too. (Note I have a lot of NKOTB stuff-my dolls and scrapbook.)
I also wanted to give you a great web site to check out with stamping supplies as well as containers. (Those of you who know me well know I am a sucker for container/gift giving ideas.)
New Clear Dollar Stamps is the name of the site. They not only have stamps but containers and all sorts of goodies. They also have a blog link set up so you can see how to use their stuff. Neato!
Enjoy!

Why Do I Make You All Suffer?/Moose II

Hello and good day to all! I am posting a link to You Tube. The video is some Asian dudes singing Summertime from NKOTB (New Kids on the Block). They sing the song with just some ukulele and a Melodica "blow organ". (I had to Google the technical name.) Maybe you have just about had it with NKOTB, maybe you never even cared. OK I understand, maybe. Just give it a listen-it is pretty cool.
My post today features some more Hanna Stamps that I promised you yesterday. I also want to mention that SplitCoast stampers is having a release party tonite for some new images. Check out the site for more info.
Where have all my faithful followers gone? Where have all the sweet comments gone?
Oh yea, you're all probably at the store checking out the Oreo Caksters (hee hee) Enjoy!

A Moose For All Occasions I

Greetings! Today my post features MORE moose stamps. I have tons and I decided to put them all together for my aerobics instructor. Merilee celebrated her 61st birthday on Monday. She loves all the "junk" I make and well, who doesn't like to do a few less push-ups in class. (If you know Merilee you know what I'm talking about.)
I am splitting up the images into two posts, it just makes things a little more exciting for you.
On Saturday night, I got together with my good buddies from Archiver's to craft but also to play and EAT. (Shelly I am still working on the whole leaning thing for Hula Hooping:)
That brings me to my next subject....OREO CAKESTERS. OK I do exercise A LOT and try to eat my fabulous 5 everyday (fruits and veggies), but MAN are these babies good. Some of my friends are on NO SUGAR diets and well....good for them cuz I'm going to indulge a wee bit.
If you have not tried these Cakesters I speak of, you MUST. They are seriously the best thing ever! Shelly Behr emailed me yesterday to tell me that they now offer a 100 calorie pack for those of us who CANNOT control ourselves. I told her that she made my wildest dreams come true. (Remember from Napoleon Dynamite PEDRO says, "Vote for me and all your wildest dreams will come true.") Yep, that's how good Cakesters are. SO TRY THEM. (enough said)
So back to cards- Today I am posting the cute little exercising moose and my baking guy moose.
I used Sassafrass papers for the exerciser and my Copic markers. I suggest paying a little visit to You Tube when you have some extra time. There is so much you can do with these markers!
The second card is my delicious moose. On this creation, I used papers from my good ole' stand by Basic Grey. One just has to love the 6x6 packs. I added a little half circle and stamped delicious with my Hero Arts cupcake stamp set. So fun! Enjoy!

Billy & Lily

Greetings! I have a new line of stamps I'd like to show you today. Pink Cat Studio has these cute little kids named Lily & Billy. I saw the images on one of my favorite blogs and went to check them out. These images just scream Copic markers. LOVE IT!
Not only will these be great for Valentine's Day but year round too! There are tons of images in this set and I will post more as soon as I put some together.
For the Together Forever card, I used the Serendipity "Hog Heaven" line from Sassafras. I did a little Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing and added my lace die cut from QuicKutz. The button is from Foofala and I also added a little string from Martha Stewart. Coloring done with my Copic markers. Colors used:
Dark Pink, Lipstick Red, Buttercup Yellow, Spring Dim Green, Skin White, Sand, Jungle Green and Warm Grey No.2 for the shading. TOO CUTE! Enjoy!

My Paige the Card Maker

Greetings! I've been busy finishing up my Valentine cards and so has my daughter. Paige is one of the most creative 7 year old girls I know. Each year, since she had been in preschool (3 years old), she had made her very own cards. This year (in 1st grade) she came up with a way to incorporate stickers vs. adhesive on her work. She even made a cute little flap-how interactive. I LOVE IT! So here it is....
Enjoy!
