Unity Challenge Week 2

Greetings! It's a new week and that means a new challenge at Splitcoast for the Unity Bachelor Challenge. This week: create a card using one piece of pattern paper, glitter (sparkle) and two buttons, (Unity Stamps only).
So I used more papers from Nana's Kitchen (DCWV) and my trusty EK Success punch and of course, my Copic markers. Added some glitters and I'm done. Her is what I created. Enjoy!

Laura's Sketch 35

Greetings! My post today features another sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. I have really enjoyed participating in challenges. It makes me think outside the box. My cards just start to look different and it keeps the ball a-rollin'.
For this challenge, I used Unity Stamps from the August KOM (camera and sentiment). I also incorporated papers from the Abbey Road collection from MME. When I first saw the papers, I knew I had to have them. I love all the signage.
Coloring was done with my Copic markers and I added the arrow with my Quickutz and border punch form EK Success. The ticket is from Tim Holtz. Hope you enjoy!

Greetings! Quick post today. I love the new line form Making Memories called Vintage Findings! It has so many cute little items to add to your creations. Today I want to show you the pill box tin I altered. I used a pill box from the Vintage Findings collection as well as papers from Basic Grey(Indian Summer). The tiny label is also from the MM collection. Too fun! The mini mints are from the Smalltoids tin I purchased. They need to be tiny! Enjoy.

Unity Bachelor Challenge Week 1

Greetings! I love card challenges and Unity Stamps has got a great one starting this week. The challenge was to create a card using the colors black, red and green. The theme had to be based on a first date card. Unity stamps has this challenge continuing for the next several weeks. It is based on the Bachelor Show (hence the name of my post). For more info, click here.
So here is my card using: patterned paper form Cosmo Cricket, EK Success punches, stamps from Unity (KOM August), paper ribbon, distress inks, and my Copic markers.

BTW, I had a fabulous weekend working the Crop Around Town Event at Archiver's. Friday night, we had Little Yellow Bicycle come out and I met Sharon Ann, who was very sweet I might add.
On Saturday, the Our Craft Lounge girlies came out and we had a ton of fun! They provided the customers with some cute projects and coloring with Copics! I had the chance to connect with some people from OCL as well as past Archiver employees. Enjoy!

Greetings! Lots going on in the craft space of late. I have been using all the cool stamps from Unity's KOM. I get excited to stamp just looking at them. My post today features a dragonfly image coupled with the sentiment "follow your heart". Products used: Basic Grey (Junebug), May Arts ribbon and Copic markers. I also utilized my Coluzzle for the circle shape. Hoping I can break free from the Junebug collection soon. I have made at least 6 posts with it. The paper pack is getting smaller and smaller. (That's a good thing, right?) Enjoy!

Slider Card

Greetings! I saw this super cute card idea on one of my favorite blogs and thought I would share my version of it. Dawn's Stamping Thoughts is the place where you can view an actual video of the card. Easy and super quick!
You will need one special tool and that is the Stampin Up Word Window Punch.
My version uses a cute little butterfly and some tiny flowers from Hero Arts. I found all of these images in the Thinking of You Set.
I used Junebug papers from Basic Grey...I can't seem to get enough of this line (polka dots, puppies and scallops, what's a girl not to like?)
Finished up with some coloring and TA-DA!! Hope you enjoy and check out the video!

School Days Tag

Greetings! School started last week for my oldest (2nd grade) and Wednesday will be my son's last first day of preschool. As I stated in my previous post, I have now started to receive the Unity Stamps, Kit of the Month (KOM). In the August kit, I received all sorts of images, but one I enjoy most is the school house. So why not make up some cute little tags for teachers and my daughter's lunch box?!
I used some pre-cut tags from the Paper Co. found at Archiver's in the 1.99 bin. I love these little tags-all ready for someone to ink up!
Before I stamped my image, I used my ink applicators from Ranger and some of their Distress Inks (Worn Corduroy and Broken China). This ink works best for distressing papers.
After I inked and stamped, I colored the image with my Copic markers. I have placed a lot of effort on shadowing and depth lately. I am improving as I practice. :)
Lastly, I added some ribbon from American Crafts (ABCs and Polka Dot Green. I attached one with a tie and the other with staples. (The mini paper clips are from Tim Holtz.)
Hope you enjoy!

Oh Happy Day!

Greetings, from the state with the most food to choose from on a stick!
The post I have to share with you tonight is all about happiness. The stamps (image and sentiment) are from Unity (Kit of the Month). I am now an official kit member. I really like Unity stamps and now I get them sent to me each month. They have so many fun- to- color images. You can become a KOM member too by clicking on the link.
Papers are from Basic Grey (Junebug) and scallop punch from EK Success. I colored the image with my Copic markers and inked the background (sky) with Blue Denim distress ink.
Hope to have more for you soon! Enjoy!
