Digital Butterfly

Greetings!

The digital world is expanding!  I just love finding images that I can make the "perfect" size!  Jennifer McGuire has a tutorial that explains in detail how to download, open, save and re-size an image here (look for digital stamping post and video).  I highly suggest checking it out.
The card I have for you today is one of her download suggestions.  Winged Friends from Two Peas In A Bucket.com has images much like the Antique Engravings clear stamp set from Hero Arts.  Again, re-sizing images allows endless possibilities!  I created this card  (4 inches) to stand up and fit perfectly inside an envelope.  LOVE IT!
In her tutorial, she also shows how coloring with your foam ink applicator and distress inks allows you to achieve a blended color look.
I also added a sentiment and black jute antenne with some Glossy Accents.  Enjoy!

Moxie Fab Stamping Olympics #5 Season's Greetings

Greetings!
Final post for the Stamping Olympics!  This card's theme:  Season's Greetings.
 I used Bo Bunny's paper along with an image from Our Craft Lounge (another fabulous company for images-especially if you like to color).  I added some curves to the main image with my Nestabilities die (label #1). The scallop on the bottom was cut with my Quickutz.

Moxie Fab Stamping Olympics #4 Love

Moxie Fab has a great contest going on through Monday.  Just post a card using the theme Love, Thinking of You, Birthday, Seasons Greeting or Thank You as your jumping block. Post a link to your blog and their link and you are set!
This is my fourth entry.  Love is my theme on this card.
I love using the images from Pink Cat Studio!  They work well for my student cards as well as my good friends.  These images are super fun to color too.  In this card, I used papers from Sassafrass along with my Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I also did some punching and die cutting with Quickutz (lace) and Stampin' Up's ticket corner punch.
I colored little Lily and Billy with my Copic markers and added a button with some baker's twine.

Moxie Fab Stamping Olympics Card #3 Happy Birthday

Today's post features a card I made for the Moxie Fab Stamping Olympics.  This category-Happy Birthday.
I love all kinds of stamps and for this card I created an image using Pink Cat Studios digital images.
Digital is super duper great because you can re-size images and create all sorts of accessories that go along with your card.
The robot is colored with my Copic markers.  I combined card stock from Papertrey Ink with patterns from Sassafrass.  I love how you can use the main pattern along with the boarders on the barcode area.  So stinkin' FRUGAL!

This card utizlizes stamps from Hero Arts, acetate and papers from Basic Grey.
I love how the butterfly dangles with the use of a Tim Holtz pin and jump ring.

A Little Button Action

More fun techniques and birthday card ideas!  For today's post, I created a birthday card using Unity's February KOM stamp.  I love this tree image.  It begs to be embellished!  Many of the stamps from this KOM are used in their blinkies.  You can see it in "motion" on the blinkie on the left of my page.  Click it to see more ideas and to visit their new and improved blog!
This card was image was stamped and colored with my Copic markers.  I then added Distress Stickles in Broken China.  The buttons are attached with Glue Dots and string is added in the holes.
Have you seen the Homespun collection from GCD studios?  I love the vintage sewing pattern paper.  I used two DP from the line by Meody Ross along with my Unity stamp.  Label (Making Memories) with sentiment  (Hero Arts).  Ribbon is from Michael's.  Enjoy!
