Fun Cards For My Mommy

Greetings!
Last weekend I spent a great deal of time putting together card kits for my mother.  She is having surgery in the next week and will need something to keep her occupied.
My posts for the next few days will feature the cards I created for her kits.
For the first card, I used one of my Unity KOM.  I tried to stick with papers from the Kioshi collection (Basic Grey) because my mother is a purple fan.
I colored the image with my markers and added some ribbon.  Hope you enjoy!

Get Your Blog Candy!

Greetings!
Summerthyme Studio has some fantastic blog candy available!  Make sure to leave a comment so you can (hopefully) get some for yourself!
My post today features a card I made for a friend and one I made for my sister's birthday.
I love all of the great images and sentiments that I found in my  February KOM from Unity stamps!  So many images to choose from.  For this card, I used the rainbow along with the sentiment "May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue." Love it!  I colored the rainbow with my Copic markers and used patterned papers from Basic Grey (Junebug).  The scallop note is from Archiver's and I added a little embossing with my Cuttlebug.  I like the white space!
My other card uses die cuts form Spellbinders and a sentiment from Unity (KOM February).  I love the soft look of this card. My sister's birthday falls on St. Patrick's day, so a card with some green is always in order.  I used one of the new colors of Distress ink from Ranger (bundled sage).  The new line of inks are so wonderful.  I use my sponge applicator so my colors are always blended and soft-like.  I also incorporated papers from Basic Grey (kioshi).  Hoping you enjoy!
Don't forget to check out Vicki's blog-lots of fantasitc cards!

Moxie Fab Doily and Lace Challenge

I love creating cards.  When I saw this challenge on Moxie, I thought of my Baby Dress card.  The lace on the card along with the punch pattern on the pocket are so delicate and soft.

Tags for A Friend

Greetings!  One of my co-workers recently celebrated her birthday and I decided to make her something special as a gift.  She always seems to find time to create all sorts of things with her knitting skills (something that I lack).
I created a tag tin for her, which includes all kinds of tags and sentiments.  Many of the stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.  Along with stamping, I distress inked and colored images with my Copic markers.
I am sure she will be able to use these both on cards as well as scrapbook pages-she loves to journal!
Other products used:
Art sticker stamps: K&Co
Hero Arts Stamps, Unity Stamps (KOM) Dec and February
Tiny Type (on tinand bird tag) Cosmo Cricket
Papers:  GCD Studios
Gems:  Hero Arts
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Banner

Greetings!
Banners are GREAT!  You're sure to see them just about everywhere in the crafting world.  The Lizzy Line from American Carfts has them so does Pink Persimmon Stamps!  Just look at what I created!
This image is from Squigglyfly.com.  You can find just about ANYTHING that you are looking for on this site. One can search images by artist, type or just page through to find the perfect one.
This image came with a few others:  a cake, cupcake, pie and a bunch of other sentiments.

I started the card by downloading the image and re-sizing it in Word.  Super EASY! I then colored it and added some pop-dots.
Other products used:
Stamps:  Hero Arts (cupcake, sentiment)
Circle Punch (EK Success)
Copic markers
Bazzill Swiss Dot Paper
DP from Basic Grey (Lemonade)
Enjoy!

Digital Butterfly

Greetings!

The digital world is expanding!  I just love finding images that I can make the "perfect" size!  Jennifer McGuire has a tutorial that explains in detail how to download, open, save and re-size an image here (look for digital stamping post and video).  I highly suggest checking it out.
The card I have for you today is one of her download suggestions.  Winged Friends from Two Peas In A Bucket.com has images much like the Antique Engravings clear stamp set from Hero Arts.  Again, re-sizing images allows endless possibilities!  I created this card  (4 inches) to stand up and fit perfectly inside an envelope.  LOVE IT!
In her tutorial, she also shows how coloring with your foam ink applicator and distress inks allows you to achieve a blended color look.
I also added a sentiment and black jute antenne with some Glossy Accents.  Enjoy!
