Doggy Doggy Where's Your Card?

Greetings! Enjoying the last part of my summer...what's left anyway. Looks like today we will actually see the sun.
Today's post features some cards I whipped up yesterday. I purchased the product long ago, but it has finally made its way to the craft table. These little doggy cards were created with papers from the Junebug line from Basic Grey, this particular paper is called Aggie. I just cut the dog images out and added some pop-dots. Polka dots are my favorite and I found these brown ones on the back of some papers from imaginecsence. The paper strip was again cut from some BG papers and then punched with an EK Success boarder punch-loves those too. Sentiment was created with stamps from Gelatins.
Archiver's has decided to carry Natural cardstock (color name) and I just love it! It goes along with all the brown and distressed papers I enjoy using.
I also purchased some denim at JoAnn's to attempt die cutting it with my Cuttlebug. On this card I cut some flowers with my Quickutz die and stitched it together to add the ruffles. Lastly, I added a button. Too much fun.
Just purchased some polka dotted felt from Creative Cafe that I will showcase on some soon to be made cards. Enjoy!

Home Sweet Home

Greetings! There is a lot of tornadic activity right now. The sirens have been going off every few minutes. So I think we are in the all clear now:)
Anyway, today's post has to do with homes. What kind of home do you live in? A small one, a BIG one, or one that is just right for you? My exercise instructor recently purchased a home in West St Paul. She already owns a home in Woodbury, but wants to move closer to her grandaughter, so she bought a new home.
I received a blackboard album from Cosmo Cricket a ways back when they hosted the Crop Around Town event for Scrapfest. So here I am posting what I created with it. I used papers from the Basic Grey line (Junebug) and added quotes, stamps from Unity Stamps and all sorts of die cuts.
My favorite part that I added is the tule from the chimney. I love it!
Hope you enjoy!

Get Well Card

Greetings! I had my vacation away from the kids last week and got a lot of scrapbooking done. So here I am today posting a card my husband asked me to make for one of his coworkers. He told me to not make it girlie. This got me to wonder, do I have any masculine stamps? No I don't. So I headed to Michael's to purchase some Jolee's By You. I found a fish and deer set.
That leads me to today's post: Get Well Soon (with fish).
I used the standard card size on this card. I added some embossing with my Cuttlebug and papers from BG (Periphery). Ribbon/jute from Michaels. Enjoy.

Sweet Pea

Greetings! It is cloudy day in St Paul. Many people are wondering if summer is over.:) I find that this type of weather day makes for the best naps. I WILL NOT; however, be taking a nap today...I have to go to work this afternoon.
I will be using the post-delay setting on this post......work now, play later. I like that don't you?
Today's post features some stamps I received some time ago from Unity Stamp company. The set is called Little Me. Papers used are from Cosmo Cricket (Early Bird) love the vintage feel! So many companies are creating a vintage lines-Making Memories, K & Co. and of course Cosmo. It is so nice to have papers distressed and almost ready to go.
Coloring is done with my Copic markers. I really tried to blend the colors and add shading on this one. Background on image is inked with my Distress Inks (Broken China). Enjoy!

Just Saying Hello

Greetings! Just playing around with some more of the Basic Grey 1.99 stamps from the Archiver's Hot Spot. This stamp set includes the boy image as well as frog, soccer ball and fly. I saw these and thought they would be fun to color.
I paired the stamps with some papers from Basic Grey (Mellow) and Ribbon from Bazzill. Hope you enjoy!

Crackle Paints from Ranger

Greeting! New product day today. Trying to show you more stuff that I am seeing not only on blogs but also in the stores. Today's post is all about Crackle Paint. Tim Holtz has a ton of new products, one of them is called Crackle Paint. Years ago, I used something similar but it didn't have the color in it. It was more of a coat of paint you added after you painted the original color...and it DID NOT have the distress affects this stuff has. Jennifer McGuire has lots of these video tutorials, which I love because you can really get a sense of how the products work plus you get a TON of ideas. See them here on her blog.
The card I used the paint on is made with Junebug from Basic Grey. I simply punched a circle from tag board and painted it with the crackle medium. I then sped up the drying process with my heat gun. (You will have to enlarge the picture to see the distressing done withthe green paint.)
This card was made for my friend Tara who not only celebrates he birth date but also her birthday week and month. CRAZY WOMAN! Enjoy!

Cute Little Stamps

Greetings! It has been quite some time since my last post. Not only have we been very busy doing"summer" things, but I have also been waiting to post these birthday cards for my mom and mother-in law. My mom and mother-in-law share the same birth date. (I don't want to spoil the surprise now, do I?)
Today's post features some of the cute little stamps in the $1.99 bin at Archiver's. I love the Matrushka dolls. They are really quite fun to color too! All those little details!! I used papers form Basic Grey's new paper line called Junebug. They have all sorts of cool quilt like patterns in this pad. I also used tiny paper clips from Tim Holtz. The clips are miniature and come in copper, antique gold and pewter.
My mother-in -law loves layered cards so I added as much stuff as I could. Flowers are from Hero Arts - inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and topped off with Hero Arts gem. I hope you enjoy these cards!
